Dr Alexander Lobanov
General Practitioner (GP)
Dr Lobanov graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 and completed his training as a specialist general practitioner in 2014. Dr Lobanov’s interests include veterans’ health, skin cancer medicine, chronic disease, paediatric care and mental health. Dr Lobanov is a registered DAME and can perform CASA aviation medicals.
Dr Alex Tonkin
General Practitioner (GP)
Dr Tonkin graduated from Newcastle University in 1994. Dr Tonkin’s interests include aviation medicine, family medicine, children’s health and sun related skin disease. Dr Tonkin is a designated Aviation Medical Examiner.
Dr Danielle Samra
General Practitioner (GP)
Dr Danielle completed her studies in Science at the University of Queensland and went on to complete her Medical degree at Bond University on the Gold Coast in 2012. She then completed her internship, residency and general practice training in Newcastle. Over the past 5 years Danielle has travelled across Queensland and to New Zealand (following her husband!) working as a General Practitioner. She is excited to be back in Newcastle where her journey began.
Dr Danielle enjoys all aspects of general practice- including women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics and preventative medicine.
Dr Dean Miller
General Practitioner (GP)
Dr Dean graduated from Melbourne University in 2001. He moved to Newcastle to be closer to family and to enjoy the better weather.
He enjoy's being a GP and being a part of people's health journey. He is interested in all aspects of GP work and has particular interests in men's health, chronic disease management, sexual health and travel medicine."
Dr Jayanti Mudaliar
General Practitioner (GP)
Dr Mudaliar graduated from Otago University in 1982 and has a Family Medicine degree from Monash University, Melbourne. Dr Mudaliar’s medical interests include skin, counselling and women’s health.
Dr Jen Coleman
General Practitioner (GP)
Dr Jen graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2005 with First Class Honours in Forensic Science, before continuing studies in the graduate medical program at the University of Sydney. She commenced her internship in 2010 with NSW Health in the Hunter New England Lo-cal Health Area, and has worked in the region ever since.
Dr Jen completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners while serving as a full-time member of the Royal Australian Air Force, discharging in 2014. She has broad medical experience in a range of areas, including orthopaedic surgery, aeromedical evacuation, rural, remote and occupational medicine.
Dr Jen has completed diving and hyperbaric medicine training, and has a Masters in Sports Medicine from the University of Queensland. She spent two years as the Chief Medical Officer for the Newcastle Knights NRL Team.
Dr Jen currently works as a Sports GP and Senior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine at The Maitland Hospital, and volunteers with Team Medical Australia to provide emergency medical coverage for all types of motor sport events on the east coast.
She enjoys running, and lifting heavy weights, competing in StrongWoman competitions.
Dr Oliver Williams
General Practitioner (GP)
Dr Williams graduated from the Australian National University in 2014. He moved to Newcastle in 2017 and subsequently completed his specialist GP training. Dr Williams interests include mental health, chronic disease, family medicine, children’s health and skin cancer medicine.
